Mizen To Malin Cycle 2023
16th - 23rd September
We will be cycling some of the Mizen to Malin Cycle in aid of Cian's Kennels in September.
Cian’s Kennels goal is to bring pets closer to sick children and their families.
We got to know Cian and his family when Cliodhna was in Crumlin Hospital and they are dedicating the first day of the Cycle to Cliodhna.Day one of our cycle, from Mizen Head to Killarney is kindly sponsored by Joe Raleigh, Raleigh Centra Texaco (€1,000)
'Cliodhna was diagnosed with Ewing’s sarcoma on 5th September 2018, the day our lives changed forever. Cliodhna was a bubbly and very active teenager who loved life.Cliodhna was passionate about her horse Angel. She also had two cats Tayto and Chocolate and her dog Ted. They really helped her get through her days. She always smiled and looked positively at her treatment. She did three exams in her Junior Cert and was so delighted with her results.
She set up an Instagram page to help others going through childhood cancer #Ewingsfighter and became good friends with Cian in Crumlin. We love and miss Cliodhna so much every minute of the day. She will be forever 16.
We, Cliodhna’s parents, Barry and Niamh, are honoured to have Day 1 dedicated to Cliodhna and we are looking forward to cycling with Cian’s Kennels Mizen to Malin in September.
